Although we specialise in the following range of high temperature polymers, we can also 3D print in a wide range of standard polymers like, PLA, ABS, Nylon, CPE, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate and TPU.

PEEK

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a semi crystalline, high performing engineering thermoplastic. PEEK offers a unique combination of mechanical properties such as resistance to chemicals, wear, fatigue and creep, as well as exceptionally high temperature resistance.

PEEK finds application in a wide range of industrial sectors, examples are high-speed rotators, bearing shells, pump vanes, medical devices and subsea equipment.

Carbon PEEK

Carbon PEEK is a 10% chopped carbon fibre reinforced PEEK, the carbon fibres improve the compressive strength, stiffness and load capacity of PEEK.

Carbon PEEK can be used both for functional prototypes and for functional parts, thanks to its very high mechanical properties. It is used in a wide range of industries like, aerospace, defence, Automotive, Oil and Gas, manufacturing and motorsport.

PEKK

Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) is a polymer that belongs to the Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) family, known for its excellent mechanical properties, high use temperatures and superior chemical resistance. PEKK is a super-polymer with slow crystallization kinetics that can be printed in its amorphous phase, offering easier processing and lower shrink rate and warping compared to other PAEK family materials.

Due to its excellent chemical-physical properties, PEKK has applications in a variety of fields. Thanks to its chemical resistance to the harshest environments, it can be widely used in the energy industry for manufacturing impellers, ducts, channels, seals and connectors. It is used widely in the chemical industry as well, thanks to its extreme corrosion resistance.

Carbon PA

Carbon Polyamide (PA6/66) is based on a polyamide matrix reinforced with 10% chopped carbon fibres. Carbon PA has excellent mechanical properties comparable to aluminium AA1050A, hence this material best performs for high mechanical stress applications such as motorsport and metal replacement where weight is a critical factor.

ToolingX CF

ToolingX CF is a semi crystalline polymer consisting of a polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) matrix reinforced with 12% chopped carbon fibres.

Property advantages of PPS are excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance, nearly no solvent can dissolve it under 200°C, making it suitable for in applications with aggressive chemical environments. PPS is also inherently self extinguishing, earning its UL94 V0 rating

These properties make the material an excellent candidate to produce components for manufacturing tooling. For instance, it is widely used to manufacture paper-pulp moulds, thermoforming moulds and calibration jigs, due to its high elastic modulus even at high temperatures. It is also widely used in the chemical and automotive industries.
